Spoon Informaiton and Contact
The wood for most spoons has been rescued from local (Ann Arbor and Dexter) power line clearing. Each spoon is shaped by hand while fresh (green)—using an ax, draw knife, carving knife, and hook knives. After initial work and time to dry, the spoon is either sanded smooth or finish carved.
A protective coating of Organic Flax Seed Oil is applied and allowed to dry. This finish is food safe and seals the wood.
Please hand wash and immediately dry.
If needed, the wood can be lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper or higher.
